Coronavirus update – 30th March 2020

As the COVID-19 developments continue to affect the delivery of our services, we have provided a service update below.  We will post further updates here and across our social media platforms:

  • Housing – our teams continue to support vulnerable young people and families across our Southampton, Basingstoke and Isle of Wight settings.
  • Nurseries & pre-school – we are open at our childcare settings in Fairthorne Manor, Andover, Whale Island, Woolston, New Milton, Newport and Millbrook supporting vulnerable children and those families with critical worker parents.  All of our other childcare settings are closed until further notice.
  • Daycamps – our schemes are not running in any settings for Easter and we have contacted all families affected.  A decision on our May schemes will be made in the coming weeks.
  • Fairthorne Manor campsite – closed until the end of April and all affected bookings contacted.  A decision on May bookings will be made in the coming weeks.
  • Fairthorne Manor Family Festival – indoor festival 8-10 May postponed, we will be in touch with affected families regarding alternative dates. A decision on the late May and August festivals to be made in the coming weeks.
  • Fairthorne Manor Camp Outs – April and early May events cancelled and affected families being contacted. A decision on later dates to be made in the coming weeks.
  • Messy Play and Treetots sessions – cancelled until further notice.
  • Young Carers Festival – cancelled until 2021. Groups being contacted.
  • School and group bookings – no visits until the end of April, we are contacting all schools and groups affected individually.
  • Family Discount Scheme – to enable families to make the most of the scheme, we are extending each scheme by 3 months at this stage.
