Yesterday we shared our New Years resolution with you. We are sure you have all made a few too, so here is a little help from us to you. If your resolutions were to eat more healthily, then look no further; we are asking our Catering Manager, Caroline, to share some healthy snack ideas with you as you strive to stay on track. With 92% of resolutions failing, we’ve got everything crossed that this will help you be in that top 8%.

Hi Everyone,

Firstly, I just want to say it’s ok to treat yourself, otherwise you will feel deprived and then crave foods and ultimately end up failing. The trick is all about moderation. If you eat two bags of crisps, a bottle of coke (500ml), a cheese burger and a chocolate bar a day, that will be half your daily intake (for a lady).  Will that fill you up? Unlikely! So take a look and plan ahead; the key to success is being organised.

The recommended daily intake of calories for men is 2500 and for women 2000, assuming you have a moderately active lifestyle. So a snack is likely to be around 200 calories. But what does 200 calories actually look like? Here is my little guide to help you navigate the world of food/snacking:

I hope you enjoy your snacks and are able to keep to your resolution. I will be back later on in the 60 Days with a healthy family dinner recipe for you to enjoy!

See you soon

Caroline
