Fairthorne Manor Daycamps offers your child the chance to unplug and enjoy quality time in the great outdoors with friends, both old and new, to connect with positive role models and gives them a break from the pressures and stress of school and everyday life.

With a wide choice of fantastic activities and outdoor adventures for 4 – 16-year-olds, there’s something to interest every child. Located at a stunning 94 acre setting beside the River Hamble, your child will have adventures in woodlands, waterways and open fields.

Multi-Activity Camps

Our most popular camps

The ultimate school holiday fun, and the most popular choice. Your child will experience a range of age-appropriate adventures which increase in challenge as the days progress. A great way for your child to let off steam and make friends in the great outdoors. For children in Years R-11.

Themed Camps

Ready for the next challenge? Themed Daycamps are the perfect way for your child to try something different and let their passion shine. Available for children in Years 4-11 (based on the school year they are going into in September.)

Make a Splash! Your child will make full use of the enclosed lake and River Hamble access as they experience new adventures on the water. Activities include kayaking, raft building, stand up paddle boarding and much more. Available during Easter, Whitsun & Summer holidays.
Get back to nature. Your child will learn fun tips about thriving in the wild as they build dens, track animals and learn camouflage techniques. Available during February, Easter, Whitsun and Summer holidays.
Take centre stage! Your child will enjoy a creative week of performing arts at Musical Theatre Camp as they learn and choreograph moves to put into practice for an end of week show! Available during select weeks of the Summer Holidays.
Perfect for your mini Picasso! Creative Art Camp offers your child a fantastic chance to create unique works of art, and craft items to treasure. Available during select weeks of the Summer Holidays.
For those wanting the next level
Calling all budding scientists! Your child will be hands-on in this camp designed to make science interactive and innovative. There’s cool chemistry with erupting volcanoes and magic crystals, rockets launching into space and much more! Available during Whitsun and select weeks during the Summer Holidays.
NEW for 2021! Has your child taken part in our Water Camp and is now ready to take their next steps in paddle sports? Your child will make use of the lake and River Hamble access where they will they develop their practical skills, increase confidence on the water and gain their Paddle Start Award. Available during select weeks of the Summer Holidays.
NEW for 2021! Designed for children who have previously been a part of Survival Camp and are ready to further their skills in how to survive in the wilderness, use their navigation skills to trek off site, learn help signals, and cook a meal on an open fire. Available during select weeks of the Summer Holidays.

Big Day & Packed Lunches

Need some extra time? Let us take care of the food and extended adventures for your child. Big Day continues the fun from 7.45am-6.00pm including breakfast & tea, with the option to add a packed lunch too.


*Please keep checking back for 2021 information* Does your child want more time with their new friends? On Thursday nights during the main summer holiday weeks, children in years 3-11 can enjoy an exciting night away from home with a sleepover in a YMCA tent. Evening activities, dinner, breakfast & lunch the next day is all included.

Bus Transport

Please note we are not offering our bus service for Summer 2021 due to the restrictions on capacities and the requirement to keep children in bubbles as part of covid-19 restrictions.

Daycamps are offered 9am – 4pm during the main school holidays.View our list of dates and prices. Members of our Family Discount Scheme receive a discount of up to 20% depending on when you book; see price list for details. Find out more about our Family Discount Scheme offer. Tax Free childcare & childcare vouchers

We now accept tax free childcare payments along with childcare vouchers for Daycamp and Residential Camp bookings. Tax free childcare enables you to receive up to £2000 to help with the costs of childcare – find out more. For further information on paying by these methods, please see our booking conditions.


As set out in the COVID-19 response spring 2021 guidance, from 29th March, and in line with when schools close for the Easter holidays, out-of-school settings and wraparound providers will be able to offer:

Outdoor provision to all children, without restrictions on the purpose for which they may attend</p/>

Indoor provision to:

Vulnerable children and young people
Children on free school meals, where they are attending as part of the Department for Education’s holiday activities and food programme
Other children, where the provision is:
Reasonably necessary to enable their parents and carers to work, search for work, undertake education or training, or attend a medical appointment or address a medical need
Being used by electively home educating parents as part of their arrangements for their child to receive a suitable full-time education
For the purposes of obtaining a regulated qualification, meeting the entry requirements for an education institution, or to undertake exams and assessments
