The best school holidays ever! Start your child's Daycamp journey at YMCA Fairthorne Manor this summer with Holiday Club.
Located at a stunning 95-acre outdoor setting, your child will have the best fun exploring woodlands, playing in open fields, connecting with positive role models, and making new friends.
Available from Monday 10th July - Friday 1st September 2023, for children joining Y1 or Y2 this September.
Each Friday of the 5 main weeks of Daycamps we have a fancy-dress theme! The themes are as follows, there is no obligation to join in or buy costumes especially for this:

Daycamps Bus
Start their adventure on the Daycamp bus at a nominated local bus stop near you. Routes start from Portsmouth, Southampton, Romsey, and Winchester.

Big Day
If you need a longer childcare option, wraparound care is available. 'Big Day' at Fairthorne includes breakfast and dinner and extends the day from 7.45am-6.00pm (breakfast is served at approximately 8.30am and dinner at 4.30pm). If you only need one of these options, you can select just morning with early drop off plus breakfast or just afternoon with late pick up and dinner Big Day instead.

Booking for summer
If you would like to book during the main 5 weeks of the school summer holidays (24th July – 25th August) you can choose between a full week (Monday to Friday) or, a shorter option of 3 days (Monday to Wednesday only) or 2 days (Thursday to Friday only).
To book, head to the online shop and select your date under 'Daycamps'.

A standard Daycamp is 9am-4pm, or add big day to extend the fun to 7:45am-6pm. If you only need the morning of evening, you can select just morning with early drop off plus breakfast or just afternoon with late pick up and dinner Big Day instead.

Tax-Free Childcare & Vouchers
As all YMCA Daycamps and Residential Camps are Ofsted registered and classified as childcare, you save money on Daycamps by paying with Childcare Vouchers or the Government’s Tax-Free Childcare scheme.

Drop off & pick up
Easily drop off your child to Daycamp Leaders straight from your car between 9am-9.30am. Collect between 3.30pm-4.00pm.
If you feel you would like to remain onsite after drop off for peace of mind, head to the cafe at reception for a hot or cold drink.
Toilet breaks
Your child will be taken for frequent toilet breaks, including after each activity.
Water breaks
Your child will be reminded to drink water and take ten sips after each activity. Trips will also be taken to the water refills stations to top up bottles.
Tuck Shop
Your child will be excited to head to the tuck shop full of small sweets and memorabilia at pocket money prices. Secure their change in a named wallet/purse and make sure your child knows where it is in their bag. Your child will hand their tuck money to their leader on arrival.
Sunscreen
Please always include sunscreen in your child's bag. Your child will be encouraged to top up their own sunscreen but leaders will help them if needed.
FAQs
What food will my child be served on Big Day?
You child can choose from a choice of hot or cold breakfast. Dinner is a healthy & nutritious hot meal e.g. Meatballs to re-fuel them after a busy day of play. All dietary requirements can be catered for, please let us know in advance when booking.
What if my child has a medical condition or need?
There are trained first aiders onsite. If your child requires medication, please complete this information at booking.
Can my child be grouped with their friend?
Your child will have the opportunity to be grouped with their friend or sibling (unless they are not within the Holiday Club age group). Each club's activities are age appropriate and built for skills progression.
What if I forget an item?
If you realise you have forgotten an item on arrival, speak to a leader on the day. A packed lunch or water bottle can be purchased. You can drop forgotten item at reception during the day.
What happens if it rains?
Activities are all-weather and will continue to run outside. Always pack a coat and spare clothes in your child's bag.
What if my child does not want to do an activity?
Your child will be encouraged to participate and challenge themselves where possible but will not be forced to take part.
