YMCA Fairthorne Group operates three levels of policy that regulate our services and help keep our members safe:

  • Level 1 policies are a statement of intent, setting out what the organisation will do to meet its legal and strategic objectives, as well as providing a commitment to do so by senior staff and trustees.
  • Level 2 policies describe how we will meet the commitments described in our Level policies at a group level.
  • Level 3 policies are our operating procedures, setting out how the different activities and services carried out by the organisation with individual branches and departments will operate.

Level 1 and 2 policies are written and approved by the Board or one of its sub committees.  Level 3 policies are written by  managers with the specialist knowledge and expertise to do so.
