Water activities

Lake activities

Splash around on our enclosed lake open from April-October. Our lake programme runs throughout the summer every Thursday from 6.00-7.30pm for 7+yrs including adults, so enjoy a splash around as a family!

  • Paddles Up – a predominantly kayak based session with some paddleboards also available.
  • SUP Splash – a predominantly SUP based session with some kayaks also available.

These are fun sessions to practice skills with our qualified instructors on hand providing safety cover. Just £14 per session for 90 minutes of fun including craft, paddle and buoyancy aid.

Hiring and Launching Craft

The sheltered upper reaches of the River Hamble are a jewel to explore on a lazy summer day, with the wind rustling through the reeds, swans gliding serenely on calm waters as you dip your toes over the side into cool waters.  It sounds beautiful and it’s all accessible from Fairthorne Manor, a unique riverside setting for your water adventures to launch your own craft or hire one from our wide ranging fleet.

Walk around Fairthorne

Take a peaceful stroll around the beautiful setting of our Family Park and finish off with a relaxing drink and a snack in our onsite cafe.  At weekends, explore the rest of the Fairthorne site including our riverside access to the sparkling waters of the River Hamble.

Tree talks

Join us on a captivating tour led by expert guide, Marco Bartolini, and discover the fascinating stories behind the trees at Fairthorne.
