Changes to Portsmouth Holiday Club

Portsmouth Holiday Club is moving to YMCA Fairthorne Manor near Botley, exclusively for HAF children in years 1-11. The club is running for 4 weeks this summer on weekdays between 29th July and 23rd August. A private coach will collect children at 9:15am (departs at 9:30am) and return at 3:45pm from and to Charter Community Sports Centre, Greetham Street PO4 4LF.

This change will improve our services, help us grow our programmes and give your children the best summer holidays ever!

Each day your child will be looked after by our friendly YMCA staff member who will accompany them on the coach journey to Fairthorne Manor. When your child arrives they will be given a group leader to enjoy a day of fun filled activities, which could include the jumping pillow, pirate ship, team challenge, obstacle course, den building and more!

We will not be offering schemes at Charter Community Sports Centre itself this summer.  If your child is not eligible for HAF programmes, Fairthorne Manor offers Holiday Club or Daycamps throughout the summer.

We welcome children with support needs to attend our school holiday programmes. We appreciate that support requirements vary from child to child so if you think your child would benefit from additional support, please contact us on 01489 785228 before making your booking to discuss your child's needs with our Out of School Manager. Children with 1:1 support requirements and registered for a Gateway Card can benefit from 1:1 support provided as part of the Hampshire County Council Short Breaks Scheme - find out more about the Gateway Card Scheme here.
The majority of our activities are suitable for children with disabilities or can be adapted to make them accessible to ensure everyone can experience the benefits of outdoor adventure.  Camp Fairthorne children stay in tents with wooden floors and access a nearby toilet and shower block which has an accessible bathroom. Please contact us to discuss your child’s requirements.
