YMCA Nursery Eastleigh is conveniently located in the heart of North Stoneham, offering places for children aged 4 months to 5 years, we are open from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday throughout the year. We’re proud to have been rated Outstanding in our latest Ofsted visit.

Baby room

Welcome to the Baby room which is designed specifically to meet the needs of infants and young toddlers aged from four months. It is a welcoming and comfortable space that is filled with age-appropriate toys, materials, and equipment to support your child’s learning and development.

Toddler room

Toddlers aged approx 2-3 years old, will have new experiences every day, getting involved in messy activities and being both active and social with our wide variety of role-play and lots of opportunities to be physically active and to build on their confidence and independence.

Pre-school room

Our Preschool room is a fun and educational space, where your child aged 3-5 will have the chance to grow, experiment and explore, filled with a variety of toys, materials, and equipment to support their learning and development.

We had our daughter during Covid and we were worried about her social skills so we sent her off to YMCA nursery where she started in Baby room till she recently graduated from Pre-school. That was one of the best decisions we made for her and we have no regret whatsoever. She does not only have a very good social skill but we are also pleased with her overall development.
She is ready for Reception class next week and I am confident that she is very well equipped for the challenge ahead.

My son has been attending the nursery since the summer of last year. He started in the baby room and it was such a great experience and start to our first-ever nursery experience. The care and empathy were to such a high standard. He is now in the toddler room and has such a lovely bond with his key worker. He often speaks of him at home and the other teachers. He always comes home looking like he had a great time!

Our daughter has been at this nursery from six months, I was initially nervous about putting her into nursery but the staff here were so welcoming and helpful. They made me feel at ease instantly and we have formed fantastic relationships with them over the past two years. They really care about the welfare of our daughter and she loves going there. I love all of the creative things that she makes and brings home, especially for special occasions such as Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day etc.
If ever there have ever been issues, the staff are really good at talking to us and talking through what they can do to help support or manage what has happened. They have also been wonderful at supporting us when we have had personal problems and therefore last-minute childcare needs.
We feel very connected to the staff at the nursery and our daughter’s love for it speaks for itself. We are grateful for everything they do.

    We welcome those with an entitlement to 2-year-old funding – see the Hampshire County Council website to check your eligibility. On top of the ‘universal’ entitlement of 570 hours of free early years education (which is available to all children), children aged 3 and 4 may also be able to benefit from an additional (‘extended’) 570 hours.
