8 January 2025

This February, supported by Movement to Work, YMCA England & Wales will release an open letter to the Chancellor and the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions in February 2025.

We’re looking to engage with our local business communities, which are willing to support our calls to help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds overcome financial and social barriers to work.

Want to find out how your business can get involved in making a difference for young people?

Get involved: Join us for an online information session.

Tuesday, 14 January 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

YMCA research found that young people living in supported accommodation were stuck in a cycle of unemployment due to barriers created by the benefits system.

From the costs of transport to work-appropriate clothing, there are many hurdles to overcome by young people in supported accommodation as they transition into work.

We hope this webinar will be informative and inspire you to play your part in ending youth unemployment and setting young people on a path to independence.
