We are excited to be hosting a Careers Day for students at Fareham College on 11th March, an event dedicated to helping students explore their career options, particularly in Early Years. This day is about more than just job hunting—it’s about inspiring the next generation, providing guidance, and opening doors to exciting career paths.
What the day entails
We work in partnership with Fareham College, to bring a number of their students studying childcare to Fairthorne Manor Nursery. We invite these students to take part in numerous workshops including a SEN workshop, and tour our wonderful Nursery and On-site Forest School – both of which would offer incredible career opportunities for young people interested in Early Years.
Early Years Careers at YMCA Fairthorne Group
The high quality of care we offer our nursery children would not be possible without our superb Early Years Practitioners. Across all 7 of our settings, we ensure we hire the very best there is. Early Years Staff play a crucial role in shaping the lives of young children, providing them with a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. Their responsibilities extend far beyond supervision—they foster emotional, social, and cognitive growth during some of the most critical developmental years. That’s why we ensure our team consists of the very best. Want to join the team? Our job vacancies can be found here.
Importance of Job Opportunities
As demand for childcare services continues to grow, so should the support for those who dedicate their careers to this essential work. Career opportunities provide hands-on experience, foster confidence, and set individuals on the path to success. Our College Careers Day is a step toward that goal, ensuring that students have access to the resources and connections they need to thrive.
