For over five decades, YMCA Fairthorne Manor has been a core memory in young people’s lives. Known for its outdoor adventure, it has played a vital role in nurturing confidence, teamwork, and personal growth among countless students. Now, in a wonderful expansion of its mission, Fairthorne Manor is excited to welcome home-educated children through its newly launched Home Education Adventure Days.
Designed exclusively for home-educated children aged 7 to 14, these Adventure Days provide an outdoor activity experience like no other. Participants will take part in three instructor-led activities across Fairthorne Manor’s expansive 95-acre site, combining fun, challenge, and learning in a safe, risk-managed environment.

Now, we’re opening our arms wider, welcoming home-educated children to enjoy a school trip experience of their own – it’s a chance for children to meet new friends, and to build on their confidence and skills in a truly natural and adventurous environment.”
