Volunteering
Volunteering with the YMCA Fairthorne Group is a chance to make a real difference—both for yourself and your community.
As a volunteer, you’ll gain valuable skills, meet new people, and experience the joy of giving back. Whether you’re helping shape the future as an Executive Trustee, inspiring young minds at a nursery, or sharing your passion as an outdoor activity leader, your contribution ensures we’re here for young people, communities and people just like you.
With roles from librarians to gardeners, youth club leaders to catering assistants, there’s a place for everyone. Join us to create lasting impact and unforgettable memories!
Meet our Volunteers
Mark's Story
After leaving the Royal Marines, Mark met with Eastleigh Community Manager and discussed how he could bring his skills to the local community and a running club was born. Risk assessments, first aid courses and routes were completed and the running club was ready for its first members.
Karyme's Story
Karyme joined us as an International Volunteer from Mexico. Karyme came to the UK to learn new ideas and take them back to Mexico. She has enjoyed meeting people from different cultures both volunteers and staff and realising that some things are different. Still, surprisingly some are very similar, saying “I am getting out of my comfort zone, but I’m nailing it’.
Phil's Story
