26 February 2026

The Wellbeing Team will next meet during the week commencing 9 March. These meetings provide space to review staff feedback, upcoming campaigns and ways we can continue strengthening wellbeing support across YMCA Fairthorne Group.

If you have any ideas, questions or suggestions you’d like considered, please contact wellbeing@ymca-fg.org. Your feedback directly shapes the direction of this work.

Mental Health First Aider Training

We are continuing to build our network of trained Mental Health First Aiders across the organisation. Having colleagues who feel confident to recognise signs of distress and offer initial support is a key part of our wider wellbeing approach.

If you are interested in training as a Mental Health First Aider, please get in touch to find out more about the role, expectations and upcoming training opportunities.

Wellbeing Boxes – Spring Top-Up

Our Wellbeing Boxes continue to offer practical resources and small touches of support across sites. Spring top-ups are being prepared, and further details will be shared soon.

Please keep an eye out for updates, and let us know if there are items you feel would add value.

Employee Voice & Wellbeing

The Wellbeing Team will attend the next Employee Voice meeting on 12 March. This is an important opportunity to hear directly from colleagues and ensure staff wellbeing remains a shared priority.

If there are topics, concerns or suggestions you would like raised, please speak to your Employee Voice representative in advance.

Eating Disorders Awareness Week – 23 February

To support Eating Disorders Awareness Week, resources and guidance materials are available on the YMCA Wellbeing Hub. The Hub is regularly updated with practical information and signposting to support staff wellbeing, both personally and professionally.

We encourage all colleagues to explore the Hub and share relevant resources within teams where helpful.

Employee Appreciation Day – Friday 6 March

Employee Appreciation Day is a chance to pause and recognise the everyday contributions of colleagues across the organisation.

Each branch will receive postcards to share messages of gratitude with one another. Whether it’s a simple thank-you note, a shared moment over tea and cake, or another way of celebrating, we’d love to hear how your branch marks the day.

Small acknowledgements make a difference.
