Young Carers Festival 2025 at YMCA Fairthorne Manor
As summer draws to a close, we wanted to share the highlight of our year so far – our annual Young Carers Festival. Alongside The Children’s Society, with support from corporates and our community, we held the 25th annual YCF here at YMCA Fairthorne Manor.

YMCA Fairthorne Group are pleased to announce the release of the official YCF 2025 highlight video, courtesy of The Children’s Society. The YCF video captures the energy, emotion, and community spirit that defined this year’s festival. It offers a look back at a weekend where young carers had the rare opportunity to simply be young. They had a chance to relax, connect with peers, and enjoy time in a safe and supportive environment.
Looking forward
The festival continues to serve as a vital reminder of the unique challenges young carers face, and the essential role they play in supporting their families. As we begin a new academic year, we encourage professionals working in education, health, social care, and community services to remain aware of the needs of young carers in their local areas. Taking small steps to ensure they feel seen, heard, and supported can have a meaningful impact.
