When a young person arrives at George Williams House, they often come with little more than a bag of clothes. Through the Fine & Country Southampton partnership, this moment of arrival has been shaped into one of comfort and hope.
Thanks to a generous £750 donation, followed by a further £2,948 in funding, new linen packs have been supplied to members providing dignity and a sense of home from the very first night.
Building brighter futures together
The Fine & Country Southampton partnership highlights how strong community relationships can make real change. Estate agents work every day to connect people with homes. By supporting our housing service, they are also connecting young people with the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
Through their generosity, young members are given support to help build a sense of belonging. With each linen pack, a new foundation for recovery and independence is created.
Each funded pack includes:
- Bath towel & hand towel
- Bathrobe & slippers
- Single duvet & duvet cover
- Two pillows & pillowcases
- Flat sheet
Many of these young people have been through unimaginable instability. However, once they arrive at YMCA Fairthorne Group, they are met with a welcoming environment, one that reminds them that they are valued and supported.

About George Williams House
Located in the heart of Southampton, George Williams House provides supported housing for 52 young people aged 18-22, along with additional move-on accommodation across the city.
Our team helps members gain vital life skills through our Y-PASS programme, which covers budgeting, cooking, CV writing, health, and wellbeing. Over time, these sessions build confidence, independence, and a renewed sense of purpose.
This combination of safety, structure, and learning allows each young person to take steps toward a future filled with potential.
A partnership that represents hope
The Fine & Country Southampton partnership continues to demonstrate what can be achieved when businesses invest in people as well as property. Their support helps us welcome new members with comfort, warmth and dignity.
