Specsavers in aid of YMCA
We are extremely grateful to Specsavers, who are putting on a charity Sleep Out event in aid of the young people at risk of homelessness, supported by YMCA Fairthorne Group. Events which are held in aid of our cause are extremely beneficial to us, and the wider community that we support. Not only does it help us to raise funds, but also helps to spread our message, which is equally as important.
Do you want to take part?
Come and spend a night in the shoes of an at-risk of homelessness young adult. All you need to bring is your sleeping bag- which is often more than the young people we support have. Then head over to the Snows Stadium Complex, home of AFC Totton, on Salisbury Road, Totton, Southampton, SO40 2RW.
The event promises an evening full of purpose, featuring a quiz, a raffle, and, of course, the opportunity to Sleep Out under the stars. For just a £15 registration fee, participants will secure their spot in the event. This fee also covers a warm soup and roll in the evening and a breakfast bap in the morning.
The event kicks off with registration starting from 7:30 PM, where you’ll also have the chance to participate in the quiz and raffle. After a night in the shoes of an at-risk young adult, you’ll wake up not only recognising the immense struggle of not having a safe play to sleep but also knowing your efforts have made a difference for those in need.

In addition to participating in the Sleep Out, there’s an opportunity to donate your sleeping bags to Street Angels Southampton after the event.
