Offers a fantastic range of children’s services from 0-16 years. Located across the city with a fantastic nursery based within the unique facilities of Whale Island the Royal Navy base of HMS Excellence, plus school Holiday Club held at Charter Community Sports Centre.

Located in the grounds of HMS Excellent, convenient for the M275, our nursery provides excellent quality childcare for service families and the local community in Portsmouth.
Creating positive outcomes with children and young people in their communities, and support for families with nursery programmes.
Perfect Location
YMCA Portsmouth covers two areas: Holiday Club based at Fairthorne Manor in Botley, which is available in the summer holidays with the provided bus service, and the nursery based on Whale Island as our primary location.

To celebrate National Wildlife Day at Whale Island this week, the babies have loved playing in the wildlife tuff tray. ![]()
The older children set off to the pond on the island and found frogspawn! ![]()
We now have tadpoles in nursery and the children cannot wait until we get little frogs!![]()
