YMCA Fairthorne Group operates three levels of policy that regulate our services and help keep our staff, volunteers, customers, and members safe:

  • Level 1 policies are a statement of intent, setting out what the charity will do to meet its legal and strategic objectives, as well as providing a commitment to do so by our Board of Trustees and Executive Leadership Team. These policies are approved bu our Board of Trustees.
  • Level 2 policies describe in detail how we will meet the commitments described in our Level 1 policies. These policies are approved by our Executive Leadership Team.
  • Level 3 policies are our operating procedures, setting out how the different activities and services carried out by the organisation with individual branches and departments will operate. These policies are written by our managers with the relevant specialist knowledge and managed at branch level.
