What do we want you to do?
As an estates volunteer, you will work as part of a friendly and supportive team to help provide the Fairthorne Manor site with safe, welcoming, and enjoyable grounds for all visitors. This includes supporting the development and ongoing maintenance of woodland, fields, paths, and the wider site, as well as practical tasks such as setting up marquees and tents ready for our wonderful camp programmes. You will also work alongside other teams across the site to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and that everything is ready for visitors and activities.
A key part of this role is helping to protect and care for the woodland environment, with a strong emphasis on conservation and sustainability. Volunteers will help ensure woodlands are safe, protected, and accessible, supporting responsible land management practices that benefit both people and wildlife. You will also have the opportunity to meet other volunteers and staff, becoming part of a friendly and social team while making a positive contribution to the long-term care of this special outdoor space.

What is the time commitment required?
The time commitment is flexible depending on the type of role you are looking to take on, our settings are open up to 7 days a week including during the holidays. Whether you can offer a regular weekly commitment or occasional support we would be interested in talking to you.
