Celebrating Our Employee Engagement Milestone

We are proud to announce a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to fostering an exceptional workplace culture. Our recent employee engagement survey achieved outstanding results, leading to recognition from WorkL for delivering a high-quality employee experience. This achievement was made possible through the honest feedback and dedication of our staff – we did this together.

What this accreditation reflects

This achievement represents more than just numbers; it reflects our shared dedication to continuous improvement. Earning this accreditation highlights our dedication to maintaining rigorous industry and company standards, and continually improving our practices.

For our employees, this milestone demonstrates our promise to keep strengthening the initiatives that matter most – from enhanced wellbeing support to more flexible and responsive workplace policies. It reinforces our focus on creating a culture where people feel valued, respected, and supported in their roles.

Accreditation Journey

Accreditation Journey

We are currently a 2-star organisation. Our next goal is reaching 3 stars:

  • 60% response rate
  • 75% engagement score

3 ★ 60% Resp
75% Eng

Our work in action

One way we have already put these changes into practice is through the introduction of the Westfield Health Cash Plan. This initiative helps colleagues save money on essential health and wellbeing services by offering cash-back and discounts. In its first year alone, one colleague saved £160 on an eye test, dental check-up, and sports massage.

What this could mean for the charity sector

This recognition has vital implications for the wider charity sector. In a field where purpose and people are at the heart of what we do, high employee engagement directly enhances the quality of support and services delivered to communities. By investing in our teams’ wellbeing and creating an environment where staff feel valued and motivated, we are setting a benchmark for what people-centred practice can look like in the charity space.

Looking Ahead – Our Next Goal

Our next step as a charity is to reach a 3-star accreditation, which would recognise us as providing an ‘Excellent Employee Experience’. Beyond that, achieving 4 stars would position us among the very best, with an ‘Exceptional Employee Experience’ status.

We’re confident that, by continuing to act on employee feedback through our ongoing “You Said, We Did” initiatives, our engagement levels will continue to rise.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our staff. Your insights, dedication, and commitment have made this recognition possible. Every piece of feedback helps shape meaningful improvements across the organisation, ensuring that our people feel heard, valued, and empowered. As an organisation, we are building a stronger, more connected workplace – one where everyone’s voice contributes to our shared success.
