When most people think of YMCA Fairthorne Manor, school residentials and school holiday clubs often come to mind. But there’s so much more to discover. Set on a stunning 95-acre site, Fairthorne Manor offers a wide range of spaces available for long-term hire – perfect for retreats and group gatherings – or for one-off events like parties, corporate team-building days, and more. We also have on-site accommodation, transforming your visit into a longer stay.
One standout example of how the site is used during the summer is the Iyengar Yoga Festival, which brings a unique energy and community to the grounds.
Iyengar Yoga Festival
For the past 2 years, we have welcomed the Iyengar Yoga Festival to our site, for their 4-day gathering that brings together Yoga practitioners of all levels from across the world. We open up our site to their amazing retreat, where they stay in our on-site accommodation, use our rooms for their workshops and lectures, enjoy nourishing meals prepared by our catering team, and utilise all our sites outdoor space as part of their mindfulness journey.
Many of the festivals attendees enjoy access to the River Hamble from our site, as well as walking the woodlands.
What we can provide
When you choose YMCA Fairthorne Manor for your venue hire, you have the option to use as little or as much of our site as you wish (depending on availability).
- Room Hire
We have a number of large indoor spaces available to hire including our Bluebell Room, Sports Hall, and Daffodil Room. As well as outdoor spaces such as our Rose Garden and Campfire Circle. Venue Hire at Fairthorne is dependent on availability, but our large site means that we can almost always provide an alternative if your preferred room or area is unavailable.
- Catering
Our brilliant catering team are on-site to cater your stay. Delicious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, as well as tasty desserts.
- Activities
Fairthorne Manor is an activity centre with a large amount of activities on offer. Zip wire through the woodlands, test your aim in archery, or paddle board in our lake – there is so much to choose from. Also, we have our very own access to the River Hamble, which you are welcome to book.
- Accommodation
We have 3 accommodation options on site. Two indoor buildings, Heald House and Ben’s House, as well as a huge camping village.
